Tlou Energy is developing power solutions for Botswana through gas-fired power and ancillary projects.
The 100% owned and operated Lesedi Power Project (“Lesedi”) is the Company’s most advanced development. Located in central Botswana, Lesedi has independently certified gas reserves, a production licence and all key government approvals in place to commence development.
Lesedi is located approximately 100 Km from the existing power grid with work underway to connect the project. Connection will allow Tlou to sell power into the existing Botswana Power Corporation grid as well as providing access the Southern African Power Pool (SAPP).
In addition, Tlou’s project is in a region of high solar incidence beneficial for solar power generation and is ideally located to leverage new cleaner energy related opportunities associated with hydrogen production.
Botswana has a significant energy shortage and generally relies on imported electricity and diesel to fulfil its power requirements. Tlou provides a major opportunity for the country to displace carbon intensive coal and diesel generation with more environmentally friendly alternatives.
The Company is listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX), London’s AIM market (AIM) and the Botswana Stock Exchange (BSE) and is led by an experienced Board, management and advisory team.
