Tlou Energy is focused on the development of Lesedi, its CBM project in Botswana, to deliver power firstly in-country and then regionally. The chronic energy shortage currently being experienced across the southern African region provides the Company with multiple routes to market and an attractive pricing environment, making its business strategy particularly compelling and relevant. With the most advanced CBM project in Botswana, an experienced team and supportive government, the Company believes that it is very well placed to deliver electricity to market.
Tlou has a long term vision to build a mid-tier energy provider in Southern Africa. Its Lesedi project, which has an independently certified contingent resource of up to 3.3 trillion cubic feet (TCF) (3C) with a further prospective resource totalling 8.6 TCF (High Estimate), provides the Company with an ideal platform from which to commence this process. The Company is undertaking activities with the aim of successfully commissioning a 10MW pilot plant at Lesedi. The Company has been working in Botswana since 2009.
Tlou is positioned to capitalise on a first mover advantage in the southern African unconventional gas industry.
